The best thing about this is that the LED light is very bright - you could use it as an emergency flashlight if the power goes out.
The worst thing is that it is nowhere near 30x magnification - maybe 10x.
For the price, I guess I'll keep it. I could use a spare.
If you want a lighted 10x magnifier, I'd suggest: SE Illuminated Sliding Pocket Magnifier with LED Light It has a slightly better design and optics.

Just as described. The tiny light is a huge improvement over earlier models of loupe.

I bought this loupe since it said it was 30X and had a light. The light is awesome and will be handy when I'm working at night. That is, I study bats and sometimes you have to look at their teeth to identify them. I don't think its 30X, I compared it to my 10X loupe and didn't see much difference. My 10X seem to have a clearer field of view. But the light definitely makes up for this. Just depends which one is more important.
